Célie
What you need
Célie is a client: it provides no content and only works with a Jellyfin server you already run. An Apple TV on tvOS 18 or later is required.
The app cannot find my server
Automatic discovery works when the server answers local network discovery. A server running in a Docker container on a bridge network never receives it: switch the container to host networking, or type the address manually. An unusual port also escapes the search. Typing the full address — IP and port — always works.
Signing in fails
Check that the address opens in a browser on the same network. If your server sits behind an HTTPS proxy, enter the full address including the prefix. Quick Connect, when enabled on the server, saves you typing a password with the remote.
A video will not play, or stutters
Célie relies on Apple's player, which does not decode every format. The server then converts on the fly, which takes processing power. Lower the quality in Settings → General, or use the automatic mode, which measures your bandwidth and picks a matching tier.
The Skip intro button never appears
That button depends on your server. Jellyfin does not detect intros by itself: install a detection plugin such as Intro Skipper, then let its scan run through your library. With no segment detected, the app has nothing to offer.
How the trial works
Seven full days, unrestricted and with no commitment, counted from the first time the app was downloaded on your Apple Account. Then a single purchase unlocks it for good, on every Apple TV on that account. There is no subscription.
I changed device, or reinstalled
Open Settings → License → Restore purchases. The purchase belongs to your Apple Account, not to the device.
I forgot a profile code
For obvious reasons the code cannot be bypassed from within the app. Sign out from the code screen, then sign in again with your Jellyfin credentials: the code is cleared.
