Célie collects no data. No account to create with us, no tracker, no ad network, no analytics. The app talks only to the media server you point it at.
We run no server that would receive your information. Célie sends nothing to its publisher: no credentials, no viewing history, no usage statistics, no advertising identifier. The app embeds no third-party SDK.
Nothing is therefore kept, shared or sold, for the simple reason that nothing reaches us.
Some information is stored locally on your Apple TV and never leaves it:
The server address and token are shared with the extension that fills the tvOS Top Shelf. That sharing happens in a private container, on the device.
Deleting the app erases all of it.
Célie is a client: it connects to the server you designate, to play files that belong to you. Your credentials travel between the app and that server, never anywhere else.
That server is not ours. What it records — history, progress, accounts — is a matter for whoever administers it, often you.
To spare you typing an IP address with the remote, Célie looks for servers on your network: it sends a discovery request and queries addresses on the subnet. These exchanges stay on your local network and pass through no outside service.
The app offers a free trial, then a single purchase. The transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We see neither your payment method, nor your Apple Account, nor your address. Apple sends us only aggregate sales reports, with no personal data.
Since the app collects no data, it collects none from minors either. Locking profiles behind a code works entirely on the device.
European data protection law gives you rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data held about you. We hold none: there is nothing to consult, correct or delete on our side.
For data held on your media server, contact whoever administers it, who is its data controller.
Any change to this document will be published on this page, with an updated date. Should a future version of the app collect any data at all, it would be announced here and you would be told inside the app before it took effect.
